Many pages on the web site are in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. To be able to read these, you will need to have Acrobat Reader installed, which is freely available from the Adobe Web Site.  

It allows you to read files written in Adobe Acrobat format, which have the file type ".pdf". Unfortunately, the download is 33.5MB, so may take some time to download. An alternative is to use one of the free discs on the front of computer magazines (e.g. P.C. World, P.C. Pro etc.), which usually contain a copy of Acrobat Reader.

Acrobat format files are very useful since they will print out to any printer from any P.C. or Mac, and will look the same. They also are very small, compared to files written in Microsoft Word, and so take less time to download.
